Location

Cal Carulla is located in the village of l’Astor, village added to Pujalt municipality in L’Anoia in Barcelona. L’Astor is a restored village that preserves the charm of the past with narrow streets, barnyards and ancient gates. It is surrounded by gardens, fields and woods. A magical town, full of corners, where the stones carry us back to the past. In L’Astor you can see the alleys and the Romanesque church of Santa Magdalena.

According to the season we can find mushrooms (red pine and grey knight), asparagus, thyme and blackberries.

How to arrive

From Barcelona (A2): Take the A2 motorway from Barcelona to Lleida for about 76 km.
After that, take exit number 532 to Sant Guim de Freixenet and go 6 km along the B-100 road until the second roundabout, then turn right to take BV-1001 road to Calaf for 3 km. Finally, turn left to take BV-1007 road to l'Astor, after 3 km you will reach the village, at the entrance go downwards and you will see Cal Carulla.
From France or Girona (C-25): Take the C-25 road direction to Lleida. Take the exit number 103 (Ponts, Tora, Igualada, Calaf) and go towards Calaf / Sant Guim de Freixenet (BV-1001 road). After that, stay on BV-1001 road for approximately 10 km until you turn right to BV-1007 road to l'Astor. After 3 km you will reach the village, at the entrance go downward and you will see Cal Carulla.
Public transport: Unfortunately in the village there is no public transport. The nearest one is the train at Sant Guim de Freixenet at 6km (Renfe line Barcelona-Lleida via Manresa) and at Igualada (24km). Buses arrive to Calaf (15km) and Igualada (24km). Taxi telephone number
